Thigh Lift in Jupiter, FL

Koger Cosmetic Clinic & Medspa offers thigh lift surgery for men and women in Palm Beach County, including West Palm Beach, Vero Beach, Wellington, and the surrounding areas of Florida.

A thigh lift improves the shape of your inner and/or outer thighs. The surgery may even increase the gap between your thighs.

About the thigh lift procedure

In many cases, only a small incision is required for a thigh lift. The exact size of the incision needed varies depending on the following factors:

  • The amount of excess skin on the thigh
  • The amount of fat on the thigh
  • Skin elasticity

A simple thigh lift surgery can take approximately three hours, but the surgery may last up to six hours if you have a substantial amount of fat or excess skin to remove. You will first receive your anesthesia, and then Dr. Koger will create an incision in your groin region, between your upper thigh and your upper body. Depending on the extent of your surgery, the incision can range from a small opening to a complete circle around your leg.

Benefits of thigh lift surgery

  • Accentuates natural contours
  • Removes pockets of fat
  • Smooths out the skin on the thighs

Candidates for thigh lift surgery

The best candidates for thigh lift surgery are men and women who are near their ideal weight and have small pockets of fat and excess skin that hides the natural contours.

Losing a significant amount of weight or having a child can change the shape, size and appearance of your thighs, so the best time to have a thigh lift is after you’ve reached a healthy body weight and are beyond your childbearing days.

Planning your thigh lift procedure

You should begin with a consultation with Dr. Koger. He will explain how the thigh lift procedure is performed and will talk about the benefits and recovery time. In order to ensure that this is the right procedure for your needs, he will also ask you to share your reasons for considering plastic surgery. You may bring a trusted support person to the consultation if desired.

During your consultation, it is important that you share your medical background with Dr. Koger. This information will help him identify any risk factors that may apply so that he can determine your suitability for the surgery.

Dr. Koger may ask you about the following during your consultation:

  • Allergies
  • Prescription medications
  • Over-the-counter medications
  • Herbs, vitamins, and supplements
  • Prior surgeries and procedures
  • Alcohol, tobacco, and drug use

You aren’t obligated to schedule the surgery right away, so feel free to take your time before deciding to have thigh lift surgery. You may even schedule another appointment with Dr. Koger at a later date if you have additional questions.

Where your thigh lift is performed

While some minor thigh lifts are performed on an outpatient basis, most patients can plan on checking into the hospital for at least one night.

Type of anesthesia for your thigh lift

Depending on the extent of the thigh lift, Dr. Koger uses general or local anesthesia for the procedure.

After your thigh lift procedure

It’s critical that you rest and place as little stress on your incisions as possible for three or four days following your surgery.

Getting back to normal after thigh lift surgery

Dr. Koger will prescribe antibiotics and pain medication before releasing you from the hospital. In most cases, you can switch to Tylenol within four days.

For six weeks, you should avoid lifting more than 10 pounds on each arm. In most cases, vigorous exercise is resumed within six weeks.

Your new look after thigh lift surgery

You will notice an immediate improvement in the shape of your thighs. Full results can take several weeks due to the swelling.

Paying for your thigh lift procedure

After the complimentary consultation, we can provide a cost of your thigh lift so that you can plan financially. For your convenience, we offer financing options for qualified patients.
