Jessner’s Renewal Peel
A Jessner’s Peel is a medium depth peel that that is highly effective at treating acne, skin discoloration, fine lines and sun damage. Those with oily skin will find that this treatment is helpful in temporarily reducing oil production and unclogging pores. The neck, chest and hands are also great areas for rejuvenation with this peel.
A Jessner’s peel is a solution made up of lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol resulting in a deep exfoliation of the outer layers of skin. Immediately after the peel, your skin may be a little pink. After a few days you may see some flaking that may last approximately a week then resulting in clearer, smoother skin.
KogeRx TCA Peel
A TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) Peel is a medium to deep peel most appropriate for treating facial blemishes, fine wrinkling and uneven skin pigmentation. A TCA peel can be performed not only on the face but on the chest, neck and hands as well. Those with more stubborn skin conditions may need more than one treatment.
Since the TCA peel is the deepest peel we offer, there will be some expected downtime. The skin will appear pink immediately afterwards which will last 1 – 2 days. After approximately 3 – 5 days, the skin will begin to slough off usually starting around the mouth and finishing at the hair line. Keeping the skin moisturized is important during this time. The skin should be completely healed within 10 – 14 days, but it is very important to keep the skin away from UV or sun exposure for at lest 30 days since your skin will be more sensitive to the sun during this time.
Following your peel, you will notice a considerable improvement in the tone, texture and color of the skin resulting in radiant, healthy complexion.
