Kim Edward Koger, M.D., F.A.C.S. of Jupiter and Palm Beach County

Dr. Koger is a native Floridian, being born and raised in Orlando. He performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology.
Dr. Koger received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Duke University School of Medicine. During medical school he performed basic science research at the Duke University Plastic Surgery Research Laboratories resulting in multiple publications and both national and international lecture presentations.
After medical school he completed his five year General Surgery Residency at Stanford University Medical Center in California. Dr. Koger then returned to Duke University Medical Center where he performed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under L. Scott Levin, M.D., Donald Serafin, M.D., Gregory Georgiade, M.D., and Gregory Ruff, M.D. A continued strong interest in research resulted in numerous journal publications and invited presentations.
In addition to formal training in both general surgery and plastic surgery, Dr. Koger completed a hand surgery fellowship at the world renowned Kleinert Institute of Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky. At the conclusion of his training he received a faculty appointment with the Department of Plastic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center and held the title of Assistant Consulting Professor of Plastic Surgery until 2008.
Dr. Koger is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Inc. and of the Palm Beach County Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Inc. He is a staff member in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at Jupiter Medical Center and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.
Dr Koger has lectured both nationally and internationally on topics in plastic surgery and has published numerous articles in the plastic surgery literature. He has special interest in facial cosmetic surgery and breast surgery.
